This Country Analysis (CA) provides an integrated, forward-looking assessment of Botswana’s development trajectory at a moment of structural transition. This CA moves beyond a descriptive assessment of sectoral outcomes to examine Botswana’s development as an interconnected system. It combines a system scan of the current state (Horizon 1) with foresight analysis and scenario thinking to explore plausible future pathways toward Vision 2036 (Horizons 2 and 3). The analysis is evidence-based and impartial, drawing on national and international data already embedded in the report, and is intended to inform strategic prioritisation, policy coherence, and collective action.
