How the UN is supporting The Sustainable Development Goals in Botswana

The UN and its partners in Botswana are working towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals: 17 interconnected and ambitious Goals which address the major development challenges faced by people in Botswana and around the world. Rooted in the agreement known as the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF, or Cooperation Framework) 2022–2026, the collective aspirations of the UN in Botswana is to move toward greater collaboration, focus and coherence in programming, and to improve the quality of life for all people in Botswana, particularly the most vulnerable groups. In support of inclusive, equitable and sustainable development in Botswana, the Government and the UN in Botswana pledge to work closely together to support fulfillment of Vision 2036 and the National Development Plan 11, as well as national implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The Sustainable Development Goals in Botswana

The Sustainable Development Goals are a global call to action to end poverty, protect the earth’s environment and climate, and ensure that people everywhere can enjoy peace and prosperity. These are the goals the UN is working on in Botswana:
